La Pieve wine estate is located in the hills south-west of Florence, with vineyards that are situated at an altitude of 250-550 meters above sea level, in an easterly facing natural amphitheatre. This is where Simone Tognetti produces very fine wines with a natural elegance from the indigenous varieties of Sangiovese and Caniolo. La Pieve means a small church or chapel and there is one to be found on the estate.
